Salary: Grade G, Point 8 – 20 (£25,992-£31,586 FTE (pay award pending); Actual pay £13,565 - £16,485 (pay award pending)
- 22.5 hours per week (working pattern to be discussed and agreed at interview. This needs to be during the school day and between Monday – Friday during term time).
- 39 weeks per year: term time + inset
- Permanent contract
We are seeking to recruit a passionate and dedicated individual, committed to working with children and families who are most in need. An individual who will help the school to further develop our already robust safeguarding systems, in which students are heard, valued and supported.
The successful candidate will:
- be well versed in Safeguarding procedures
- have experience of meeting the challenges facing young people in an education setting
- have experience of working with external agencies to support young people
- be confident to manage student disclosures and to engage in difficult conversations with parents, carers or professional agencies, ensuring that safeguarding is at the forefront
- have excellent communication skills with all stakeholders
- have an in-depth understanding of national safeguarding policies
- have a commitment to keeping your own professional training up to date
