Key Stage 3
Students are taught predominantly in sets in Years 7-9 based on data we collect and analyse during Terms 1 and 2 of Year 7. Movement between sets is frequent and based on continuing assessment by classroom teachers.
Students study the following subjects throughout Key Stage 3 although students needing additional support with their literacy do not take part in Modern Foreign Languages lessons.

Key Stage 4
Students all study English Language and Literature, Mathematics, Science, Physical Education and Futures (Futures which covers PSHCE and RE) in Years 10 and 11 and choose four “option” subjects.
Teaching, support and careers staff work closely with students in Year 9 to ensure that the students are guided in making the right choices for them. Option subjects offered vary from year to year. The following subjects are usually offered (dependent on demand):
