Pastoral Support Staff:  Referral and Reflection Room Supervisor

Salary:  NJC Point 4 – 12, (depending on experience) £23114 - £26421 FTE (pro rata (.8803) £20347 - £23258) pay award pending

  • 37 hours per week, five days per week: Monday – Thursday 8:30 – 4:30; Friday 8:30 – 4:00.
  • 40 weeks (term time, inset and one week during school holidays).
  • Permanent contract.

Severn Vale School is an Academy which provides an inclusive secondary education for students aged 11-16, that delivers  strong  student outcomes through high quality teaching and outstanding pastoral support. 

As part of the school’s ongoing commitment to deliver a calm and purposeful learning environment for staff and students, we have expanded our provision for referral and reflection.  We are therefore recruiting additional staff to work in our Referral Suite. 

This role would suit someone who has the ability to work effectively and calmly with students, is able to uphold clear boundaries, whilst also building positive relationships and maintaining high expectations.  You will have excellent communication skills and be educated to a minimum of Grade C GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English.  Experience of working with children or in an educational establishment would be desirable.
