First Stop: The Science Museum

Our adventure began at the renowned Science Museum. Here, students delved into the fascinating world of medicine, with a special focus on the history of vaccines, childbirth, and health promotion campaigns. The exhibits provided an immersive learning experience, allowing students to see first-hand how medical advancements have evolved over the centuries. From the pioneering work of Edward Jenner on vaccines to the latest developments in health promotion, the museum offered invaluable insights that are directly relevant to their studies.

The area 'who am I?' Provided students with a variety of interactive experiences allowing them to Investigate some of the characteristics that make humans such a successful species, such as personality, intelligence and language.

After a morning of learning, we took a walk to Hyde Park, one of London's most iconic green spaces. The walk provided a perfect opportunity for the students to take in some of the sites, reflect on what they had learned, and enjoy an ice cream. 

The final destination of our trip was the luxurious Harrods department store, specifically to explore their nursery furniture section. This visit was particularly relevant for the child development coursework, giving students a chance to see high quality items, and to be surprised by some of the prices! We got to admire the beautiful, unique style of decor, including the famous the Egyptian escalator hall.

The trip was a success, offering a perfect blend of educational enrichment and cultural experience. Both students and staff returned with a wealth of knowledge and inspiration.
