Yesterday 30 students from each of Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9 took part in the 3^rd of a set of 3 workshops run by GE Aviation focusing on highlighting the benefit of STEM subjects. Thursday's workshops focused on a “Code-breaking” challenge where students got the opportunity to work in teams to decode messages . The aim of the session was to learn about the history of code-breaking and how decoding works. Year 8 were a whiz at cracking their code challenge with every group completing it by the end of the session (some with a little help!). Rockets also played a big part as students were given the opportunity to design a rocket.
