Elmore Chamber Music Festival

Severn Vale School was well represented by enthusiastic music students at this summer's Elmore Chamber Music Festival.

Over the summer holidays a number of our students took part in the Elmore Chamber Music Festival. The Elmore Chamber Music Festival takes place every year in August at St. John the Baptist church in Elmore and consists of four days of concerts by young international musicians and workshops during the day.

Erica T, Gaia P and Hunter J took part in a workshop given by the composer Leo Geyer, and later, Erica, Gaia, Hunter and also Noah H and Rafael R then performed in the young pianist's concert to a packed audience. Ex Severn Vale student Ben Sachs, also appeared in both events.

Mary Hughes, their instrumentalist teacher said: "I was extremely impressed with all the students above for their willingness to take time out of their holiday to prepare and then take part in the festival. They were all a credit to Severn Vale."
